Lowri & Carwyn at Fforest Quayside, Cardigan
Lowri & Carwyn’s wedding took place a week before my birthday so I’m claiming this as my birthday present wedding of 2013. The vibe, the location and quirky details were exactly my cup of tea – I couldn’t have thrown myself a better party! Here I discovered the sublime jewellery of Ruth Tomlinson (❤) and the bride’s limited edition Ginger Biscuit cologne by Jo Malone – sweet, spicy & delicious – is also much coveted. But enough of my imaginary birthday wish list! Lowri & Carwyn’s ceremony took place at The Church of the Holy Cross, a medieval sailor’s church high above a secluded cove in Mwnt. After ginger beer & mojitos on the cliff tops, everyone headed back through the lanes to the reception in Cardigan. What a find! A beautiful fforest tipi on the glittering Afon Teifi filled with pretty details and photogenic corners. Lowri & Carwyn are professional artists (both awarded Eisteddfod gold medals) so there were plenty of creative touches and interesting guests to chat to throughout the day. This was also my first Welsh language wedding and I think I did ok! (A wnei di fy mhriodi i?) But it was the thoughtful & touching thank you emails I received weeks later which have stuck with me and reminded me how truly lucky I am to do what I do and meet the people I meet. Diolch yn fawr!
