Vicki & Adam at Croyde Bay, Devon
Vickie & Adam are both surfers so a down-to-earth tipi wedding overlooking the crashing waves at Croyde Bay was the perfect choice. They even went for a 7am surf on the morning of the wedding… at different ends of the beach of course! Their ceremony was held at a pretty church in the village of Georgeham, a short walk (via the local pub!) from the best man’s house. Vickie looked amazing in a custom two-piece wedding dress, handmade by a friend with material she bought while travelling in India. All the flowers, from the church & tipi decor to the bouquets and buttonholes, were home grown by Adam’s mum and grandad! At sunset we snuck away from the huge party (family rock band, whiskey & cigar station, ice-cream van!) and wandered down the sandy lane to the beach for a quick photo session on the rocks – it was windswept, dramatic and so beautiful. Many thanks to my second shooter Simon for helping out all day and balancing on the rocks with the flash stand as the waves splashed around!
