Laura & Jonny at Rye Town Hall, Sussex

This summer I was all about the pretty village weddings and country life! Laura & Jonny’s wedding day took me to the most picturesque English town of Rye; a charming little place of tea rooms, higgledy-piggledy hills and painted doorways framed by perfect rosebushes. While exploring the cobbled streets I even found an old fashioned sweet shop which was still open at 7pm. Nothing makes a warm summer’s evening better than a paper bag of sherbet lemons! Laura & Jonny were married at the Rye Town Hall and introduced as husband and wife to their guests and a huge crowd of tourists by the ringing of the town crier’s bell. Their reception was held in a mini tipi at St Mary’s Community Hall in the nearby village of Udimore. Laura wore a Stella York dress from Bride To Be of Reading, with a beautiful summer bouquet by Astilbe & Sorrel. I had the loveliest day of photography – Laura & Jonny are cuties for sure! All the people were wonderful really, smiling all day long and stopping me for little chit-chats here and there so that I felt welcome. Oh and there was a jazz band who sounded exactly like the band who play on Main Street in Disneyland!
