Charlotte & Mike at Henley Farmhouse, Acton Scott
Charlotte & Mike were married at Bishop’s Castle Town Hall followed by a jolly and relaxed reception at Henley Farmhouse, part of the Acton Scott Estate. From the flowers, to the table settings to the drinks service, this wedding is filled with DIY inspiration… even the picnic lunch was homemade by Charlotte’s lovely mum! I suspect the Acton Scott Estate might be one of Shropshire’s best kept wedding secrets. It’s an adorable wedding venue among peaceful rural surroundings – think white picket fence, Tudor architectural details and rustic brickwork – yet photos of the location are hard to track down. Luckily, I have absolutely loads to share with you! There was such perfect lighting for bridal details at Charlotte’s room in the farmhouse on the morning of the wedding, I definitely got a little carried away. Charlotte wore a 1920s embellished wedding gown from Phase Eight (the design is Hope) and pretty peep toe shoes from Rachel Simpson in Mimosa Mint. Mike wore a charming bottle-green three piece suit with stripy socks and fun purple shoelaces! Thank you so much to all the friends & family for being super friendly on the day… and to Charlotte’s aunty for making some incredible cakes for the Great Wedding Bake Off – I’ll admit I had a few cheeky nibbles!
