Bee & Nick at Mangreen Country House, Norfolk
It was such a massive privilege to photograph Bee & Nick’s beautiful day at Mangreen Country House; Bee’s family home, spiritual retreat and all round special place. I’ve known Bee for many years and her sweet nature, enthusiasm for life and talent for writing has always uplifted & inspired me, especially when she and Nick quit their jobs and escaped to travel South America for six months. I was lucky (& surprised) to bump into them in the street at sunset while on my own adventure, on a tiny island called Flores in Guatemala! Our paths crossed again a few days later on the Carribbean island of Caye Caulker in Belize where we had a proper catch up and I re-jigged plans for my upcoming epic birthday trip to photograph their wedding (for those that don’t know, I took two months off last autumn and spent them road tripping, camping & adventuring in the USA – blog soon!). The wedding was amazing! Bee wore her mum’s wedding dress from 1972, perfectly altered by a lady called Val Hoyle who is the costume designer on Emmerdale! She and the bridesmaids got ready in the penthouse suite of Dunston Hall, a huge space to takeover for your bridal preparations. My favourite special touch of the day though is the bee tattoo Nick chose to have instead of a ring. Bee & Nick are absolutely the loveliest and it was an honour to be among their friends & family on their wedding day. Thank you both so much for having me as your photographer!
