I’ve been lucky to photograph weddings at Sugar Loaf Barn in Abergavenny many times over the past few years, but I was truly touched (& thrilled!) to be asked to photograph Sheri & Marcus’ special day. Marcus and his family actually own this beautiful venue and if you have ever been to a wedding there you’ll know they work tirelessly to ensure every detail is absolutely perfect so I knew their own day would be spectacular. We visited secret locations such as this glowing woodland and I had the loveliest time riding round the fields in the mini tractor. Sheri is a professional fashion designer and I was blown away by the special dress she and her friend created – hidden among the embroidery were sentimental details such as the wedding date, meaningful words, the groom’s initials in blue beading and even little tractors to symbolise Marcus’ life as a farmer! What a precious keepsake and future family heirloom. The bridesmaids wore a variety of different Rewritten gowns in a muted lilac. The beautiful bouquets and unique floral arch in the barn were designed by Flower Style Co. Finally, lots of love and a huge thank you to Laura for second shooting.
