Pink pastel balloons, swooshy skirt and a quaint afternoon tea reception at the village hall – what’s not to love?! I first met Sophie & Tom at Rachel & Ben’s wedding a few years ago (they even have one of my photobooth pictures on their mantlepiece!) so I was touched that they remembered me for their own wedding day. In fact, they reached out almost immediately after getting engaged, before even sharing the news with family & friends! They held their ceremony at Cardiff City Hall followed by a quick photo session in Alexandra Gardens before travelling in a vintage VW van to their reception at Rudry Parish Hall in the rural setting of the Caerphilly mountains. Beautiful Sophie looked AMAZING in a 50’s inspired tea length Brighton Belle wedding dress from True Bride with pretty lace heels and a bouquet of pastel roses in lilac, pink & peach. A delicious afternoon tea was provided by the ladies at Tea Cup Parties & Events.
Katie & Loz’s big day – the wedding where everything was pink & gold & sparkly, I ate candy floss, rode on a carousel and got sand in my glitter shoes! They were married at St David’s Hotel on the Cardiff Bay waterfront with a reception to follow at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre, with a cheeky photo stop along the way at the Cardiff Bay Beach and fun fair. Katie wore a quirky polka dot dress from Adriana Alier at CocoMio Bridal, accessorised with glitzy gold Irregular Choice shoes and a cute pom pom veil from the Rock n Roll Bride collection for Crown and Glory. Katie’s bridesmaids all wore dusky pink Dessy dresses from All About Eve. I LOVED this wedding! Absolutely everything about it was my cup of tea and then some more… I could have quite happily helped tidy up the following day by doing a supermarket sweep through the venue and finding a home for all the decor at my place! Loz even surprised Katie and their guests by hiring an AIRPLANE to fly by the reception venue with a congratulations banner! These guys are the loveliest, happiest people and I’m thrilled to have been a part of their wedding day. Thank you Katie & Loz! And thank you to Tom for second shooting (& telling me about the parking ticket on my car!).
Natalie & Mike (along with their big softy of a dog, Zack) travelled back to Wales from their home in Jersey for their rustic wedding day at Sugar Loaf Barn. The barn is the perfect setting for an informal wedding ceremony with hay bale seating looking out over the incredible mountain views. Fresh white florals with trailing green foliage from The Flower Hive kept things light and natural and will certainly give you that spring feeling! And let’s take a moment to appreciate the pretty paper flower decorations adorning the barn walls – they were handmade by Natalie’s nan! Natalie is a serious beauty anyway (as well as being kind, down-to-earth and an amazing baker!) but in her ivory Martina Liana dress with scalloped lace edging from Laura May Bridal, she looked absolutely wonderful. Congratulations Nat & Mike and thank you so much for having me along for the day!
